WHAT IS EUTONY?
Eutony is a psycho-corporal practice that fosters self-knowledge through body awareness.
It sets forth a learning process to regulate neuromuscular, neurovegetative and psychological tonus (degree of tension). It is intended to adapt to different situations in everyday life to make a more efficient and healthy use of our body.
The word Eutony (from the Greek eu=good, just, harmonious and tonos=tension) was coined in 1957 to express the idea of a well-balanced tonicity, constantly adapted and adjusted to the state or the activity performed at each moment.
The in-depth work of Eutony is characterized by greater muscle flexibility and greater joint mobility, improving posture and movement. Neurovegetative functions such as blood and lymphatic circulation, digestion and unconscious breathing are improved.
Through Eutony, the close link between muscle tension and the psyche can lead to a fulfilling well-being experience.
The tonus flexibility acquired allows us to experience all kinds of feelings and emotions. Spontaneity and creativity are unlocked. The ability to express ourselves and communicate is improved, as well as our quality of life.
Eutony is an ode to freedom, creation, respect for others, and the recognition of our own possibilities. (Raymond Murcia)
